Final Thesis Project

As part of my Master's degree at NC State I completed a project titled, A Digital Design Archive; promoting collaborative cross-disciplinary interactions. In addition to writing a research paper I created interface mockups and designs for an online archive. This archive had two separate aspects, a public side and a private side for students and alumni. The online space provided a way for students to collaborate, share ideas and projects, access their classes, offer critique and share feedback. These images show the final design for both sides of the archive website as well as a glimpse into the design process.

In 2015 I received a Master’s degree in Animation and New Media and my final project tried to solve an archiving problem for the University. Years of work had been created by students since the start of the College of Design, but there was no place where all this content could be housed. My solution was an online digital archive where students could upload their projects, thus creating a central place for all past and future work to live. As a final deliverable I mocked up the online archival website and created animations showing some of the interactive elements might behave.
